Fair Credit case settled - wrong information on credit report found

This is a case against the 3 credit reporting agencies which are:  TransUnion, Equifax and Experian, all of which have reported inaccurate information (a negative account/tradeline) on Plaintiff's credit history.  This negative account is inaccurate and does not belong to Plaintiff.  You see, this account actually belonged to a different man with a VERY similar name.

Plaintiff repeatedly disputed this inaccurate information by both oral and written communications to the credit bureaus' representatives, and by following their established procedures for disputing credit inaccuracies. Plaintiff was also able to provide documentation to back up his disputes.

Despite Plaintiff's efforts and documentation to all Defendants, Defendants sent Plaintiff correspondence reaffirming this debt and their intent to continue to publish this inaccurate information.

TransUnion, Equifax and Experian failed to perform reasonable investigations of the above disputes as reqired by the FCRA, failed to remove the inaccurate information, failed to report the results of its re-investigations to all credit reporting agencies, failed to note the disputed status of the inaccurate information, and have continue to report the inaccurate information about the Plaintiff.

As a result of Defendants' actions, Plaintiff was unable to obtain credit and suffered other damages as a result.
