Q: There is an account on my credit report that does not belong to me, what do I do?
A: Once you obtain your credit reports and there are accounts that do not belong to you or that you are not obligated to pay, please contact Jeff. Jeff can help you file a dispute the proper way. Once you send a certified dispute to the credit reporting agency with as much information as possible showing or proving that the debt doesn't belong to you - the agency then has about 45 days to respond to your dispute.
The agency is supposed to investigate the account and either verify it or delete the same.
